My entry for this month's challenge, "Heroes In Peril", a collaboration with . Yes, it's late. So sue me.

My section is supposed to happen chronologically after tyrancoss's entry, so if you feel like you're missing something, that's the reason. Here's what you may need to know. Professor Goyle and Miss Mecha have teamed up to investigate the disappearance of several elusians, which lead them to the base of the Techno Mongers, where they are captured by their leader, Dr. Tesla. They learn that the doctor has been experimenting with crystal shards with unusual properties. He's been abducting humans, deviants, and elusians and then injecting them with a powder form of the shards, which has the effect of mutating them into mindless monstrosities. Now he's placed our heroes in an arena to fight against one of his most powerful creations. And that's how we get here.

The doors open to reveal a horrifically mutated Gillarax, who's heat powers have been magnified to the point that the bottom portion of his body has been turned to molten rock, also known as lava.
