This man is related to another hero of mine, The SaberCat. And when I say related, I mean literally. This is Benny Brewster's father, and SaberCat's sidekick/mentor.

Personality: He follows his own rules. He doesn't like conforming to society's views of right and wrong, resolving to do right as he sees is right. This is reflected in the way he fights crime and the way he parents. As a parent, he cares very much for Benny, and only wants to see him become the best Benny he could be. He has taken it upon himself to assist Benny in his recent crime fighting endeavors, and to train him to become a better crime fighter, because, at the moment, he's doing a lousy job at it.

EDIT: Updated his profile with a new picture featuring him in his new look. While I was at it, I did the entire character sheet over by scratch, updating his bio slightly, as the old one was rather sloppy and his character has evolved slightly since the first time I filled out this profile. I know have a better idea of what Edward's life may have been like before becoming a father, and although I don't feel like sharing it just yet, it will explain why Edward has taken to the superhero lifestyle so gracefully and how he is truly qualified to be SaberCat's mentor.

EDIT: Edward is currently believed to be dead, being killed by Elixio during Omega's take over. In actuality, his death was faked and he is now being held by a mysterious organization in an unknown location.
